Ha, well people still would have used it even if you didn't fix it. I had a layout where the background didn't even show up and it got like 60 favorites before I fixed it. But it's good you figured it out. :D

oh, I've just changed it to repeat-x and it's still the same. I don't know why it's suddenly changed, I checked it several times when it was in it's pending stage.

The background image doesn't go across the entire screen and there's a black background. I could take a screen shot if you want. I think it might be because you set the repeat to x-repeat instead of repeat-x. I'm not sure if that matters, but I've never seen it written x-repeat.
